Television, Inc. ("Gray" or "our") (NYSE: GTN and GTN.A)
announced today that it has promoted four station department heads
to General Managers. Each of these individuals succeeds a
Regional Vice President/General Manager who, until now, have been
running a local station as well as overseeing additional Gray
television stations. The former RVPs will now oversee Gray
television stations on a full-time basis in the new position
of Television Vice Presidents. These changes, which had been
planned for many months, become effective today.
In Lexington, Kentucky (DMA
63), Gray promoted Jeff
Anderson to General Manager of WKYT (CBS) and
WKYT.com. Jeff has served as Director of Local and Digital
Sales at WKYT since early 2014. He has held a number of sales
positions in his career, including Director of Sales for Republic
Media in Phoenix and Vice
President of Advertising for the local newspaper, the Lexington
Herald Leader. He currently serves as Chairman of the
Children's Charity Fund of the Bluegrass. Jeff grew up in
Harlan, Kentucky, and graduated
from the University of Kentucky.
In Charleston-Huntington, West Virginia (DMA 73), Gray
named Matt Moran as the
General Manager of WSAZ (NBC), WQCW (CW), MeTV, and WSAZ.com.
For the past six years, Matt has overseen sales for these
properties as General Sales Manager. For the preceding 15
years, he had been the President and CEO of Moran Holding Corp.,
which owned and operated several businesses in the automotive
industry. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from
Ball State University and an MBA from
the University of Utah.
In Colorado Springs,
Colorado (DMA 87), Gray has named Liz Haltiwanger as the General Manager of
KKTV11 News. Liz joined the station as a Producer in
2003. She has led the news department for the past ten
years. During her tenure as News Director, KKTV has been
named Station of the Year by the Colorado Broadcasters Association
multiple times and has been honored with regional Edward R. Murrow and Emmy awards for Best
Newscast, Investigative Reporting, Breaking News, and more.
Liz serves as a board member for the Colorado Freedom of
Information Coalition and is President of the Colorado Springs
Press Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Journalism from The University of
Colorado Boulder.
In Lansing, Michigan
(DMA 115), Gray has named Debbie
Petersmark as the General Manager of WILX Media, which
operates WILX-TV 10 (NBC) and WILX.com. Debbie joined the
station in 2000 as an Account Executive, and she has served as
General Sales Manager since 2014. Prior to joining WILX,
Debbie spent 10 years at the Sparrow Foundation as the manager of
the Children's Miracle Network, where she led the fundraising
efforts for the Regional Children's Center and produced an annual
telethon. She serves as a board member for the American
Red Cross, Mid-Michigan. A lifelong resident of East Lansing, Debbie holds a Bachelor of Arts
degree from Indiana University.
For the past few years, four Regional Vice Presidents/General
Managers have led their stations and assisted Gray leadership in
overseeing additional television stations. In their new
positions as Television Vice Presidents, Chris Mossman from Lexington, Matt
Jaquint from Charleston,
Nick Matesi from Colorado Springs, and Mike King from Lansing will oversee various television
stations for Gray on a full-time basis.
