UK Nationwide housing prices advanced less than expected in July.
In the UK, the Nationwide housing prices rose 0.10% on a MoM basis in July, compared to a revised rise of 0.20% in the prior month. Markets were expecting the Nationwide housing prices to record a rise of 0.30%.
US JOLTS job openings dropped more than anticipated in June
In the US, the JOLTS job openings fell to 10.70 million in June, compared to a revised reading of 11.30 million jobs in the previous month. Markets were anticipating the JOLTS job openings to drop to 11.00 million.
Australia services PMI climbed more than expected in July
In Australia, the S&P Global services PMI climbed to 50.90 in July, compared to a reading of 50.40 in the prior month.
Australia AiG performance of construction index declined in July
In Australia, the AiG performance of construction index fell to 45.30 in July, compared to a reading of 46.20 in the previous month.
China Caixin services PMI unexpectedly advanced in July
In China, the Caixin services PMI unexpectedly climbed to 55.50 in July, compared to a reading of 54.50 in the prior month. Market expectations were for the services PMI is to fall to a level of 48.00.
