UK CPI advanced more than expected in October
In the UK, the consumer price index (CPI) climbed 11.10% on a YoY basis in October, compared to a rise of 10.10% in the prior month. Markets were expecting the CPI to rise 10.70%
UK DCLG house price index rose less than anticipated in October
In the UK, the DCLG house price index climbed 9.50% on a YoY basis in October, compared to a revised rise of 13.10% in the previous month. Markets were anticipating the index to rise 14.50%.
UK PPI advanced more than expected in October
In the UK, the PPI climbed 14.80% on a YoY basis in October, compared to a revised rise of 16.30% in the prior month. Markets were expecting the PPI to rise 14.60%.
US retail sales climbed more than expected in October
In the US, retail sales rose 1.30% on a MoM basis in October, compared to a flat reading in the prior month. Market expectations were for retail sales to rise 1.00%.
US industrial production unexpectedly fell in October
In the US, industrial production unexpectedly fell 0.10% on a MoM basis in October, compared to a revised rise of 0.10% in the previous month. Market anticipations were for industrial production to rise 0.20%.
