Qtum is a decentralized blockchain project for building trusted decentralized applications built on Bitcoin's UTXO model, with support for Ethereum Virtual Machine based smart contracts, and secured by a proof of stake consensus model. At genesis, 100 million QTUMs were created, on top of which ~1% annual proof-of-stake inflation will be added.
