HOUSTON, Oct. 10, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- One of the most prestigious annual events in the energy industry will be even bigger this year as people from across the sector come together for the GRIT Awards and Best Energy Workplaces. At the lunchtime event on October 30, influential and visionary leaders in energy, sustainability, and climate will gather to see who will take home the coveted prizes.

This year's categories include new additions such as Lifetime Achievement Awards. The winners are Vicki Hollub, president and chief executive officer of Occidental; Jan E. Odegard, consultant and former executive director of Ion, the hub of Houston's innovation ecosystem; and Sivasankaran "Soma" Somasundaram, president and chief executive officer of ChampionX. In a fireside chat with Katie Mehnert, CEO of ALLY Energy, they will share their stories and visions for the future.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. and be hosted by Juliana Garaizar, an ALLY Energy Advisory Board member and founding partner of Energy Tech Nexus.
