Tyler’s solution streamlines online application
and permit processes
Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced that Forsyth
County, Georgia, has successfully gone live with Tyler’s EnerGov™
civic services solution. The county has launched a new process for
constituents to submit applications online for building permits,
business and alcohol licenses, inspections, and land development
plans.
Tyler’s EnerGov solution makes it possible for Forsyth County to
offer essential permitting and licensing services to the public
entirely online. A few other benefits include:
- Increased automation and improved communication with the
county’s constituents
- Elimination of electronic submittal fees for those submittals
that previously required one, such as commercial building plans and
land disturbance permits
- Ability to review application or permit status and track its
progression in real time
- Improved search capabilities for information on land
developments, building permits, and business and alcohol licenses
in the county
- Ability for business owners to renew licenses online
“We’re pleased to announce a successful go-live for Forsyth
County as it enhances its online services to its constituents,”
said Greg Savard, general manager of Tyler’s Civic Services
business unit. “The county has streamlined its processes resulting
in more efficient approvals for applications and permits, and we
are confident that its constituents will find value in these
improved services.”
Forsyth County is located in north central Georgia and is part
of the Atlanta metropolitan area. It has seen rapid population
growth in recent years, which may be attributed to its proximity to
employment opportunities in nearby Alpharetta and northern Fulton
County. Approximately 245,000 people live in Forsyth County. In
addition to EnerGov, Forsyth County also uses Tyler’s Munis®
enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution and Odyssey® court case
management solution.
