Total Acquires French Renewable Energy Company

Total SA (FP.FR) said Monday that it has acquired French company
Vents d'Oc Energies Renouvelables as part of its strategy to
strengthen its position in renewable energy.
Montpellier-based Vents d'Oc, which will be acquired through
French oil-and-gas giant's subsidiary Quadran, develops more than
200 megawatts of renewable energy, mainly through wind power.
On Sept. 1, 2019, Vents d'Oc will be renamed Total Quadran, the
company said.
The company didn't disclose the financial details of the
deal.
