Regions Bank Re-opens Branches Following April 27 Tornadoes

Regions Bank (NYSE:RF) has re-opened all but three branches
following the April 27 tornadoes impacting Alabama and other
Southern states and has deployed a Regions Portable Branch Facility
and a mobile ATM to serve Alabama communities most impacted by the
storms.
Regions today deployed its Portable Branch Facility to the site
of its damaged University Mall branch, located at 1501 McFarland
Blvd. in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Regions’ Portable Branch, a converted RV
with satellite connectivity, is a full-service bank branch. From
the Portable Branch, customers can use on-site ATMs, complete
transactions with a teller, open accounts, or talk to a banker on
site. The Portable Branch Facility will be open for business
beginning Wednesday, May 4 at 9 a.m. and will remain open during
normal business hours indefinitely to serve the Tuscaloosa
community.
Last week, Regions Bank deployed a mobile ATM to its South
Parkway branch located at 2511 Memorial Parkway in Huntsville, Ala.
to provide cash withdrawals and other services for individuals
impacted by the storm and resulting power outages in the area. Over
two days, some 800 transactions were completed at the mobile
ATM.
Following the April 27 tornadoes, 54 Regions Bank branches were
closed temporarily due to storm damage and power disruptions. The
following three Regions Bank branch locations in Alabama remain
closed:
- East Tuscaloosa - 951 26th Ave. East,
Tuscaloosa, Ala.
- Redstone - Redstone Arsenal Building
3226, Redstone Arsenal, Ala.
- University Mall - 1501 McFarland Blvd.,
Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Regions Bank is also providing assistance to customers and
businesses in storm affected areas. These include:
- Special loan offers
- Penalty-free withdrawals from CDs
- Personal and business loan payment
deferrals
- Discounts on new business loans
- Credit card account assistance
- Regions Bank fees waived for customers
at other banks’ ATMs
- ATM surcharges waived for non-customers
at Regions Bank ATMs in Blount, Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Etowah,
Franklin, Jackson, Jefferson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone,
Madison, Marshall, Morgan, Tuscaloosa, Walker and Winston counties
in Alabama, and Floyd County, Georgia.

On April 28 Regions Bank announced a $1 million corporate
contribution to the National American Red Cross Tornado Disaster
Relief Fund. Regions is also accepting donations to the relief fund
from the general public at all Regions Bank branches in the 16
states the company serves.

affected by the storms to provide volunteer assistance. Regions
associates can work with these and other relief organizations that
provide direct assistance to those hardest hit through the
company’s volunteer program, What a Difference a Day Makes, which
provides each of our more than 27,000 associates a paid day off for
volunteer work.
