Harris Williams & Co. Promotes Six Senior Professionals

Harris Williams & Co. announces that it has promoted six senior professionals across the firm’s offices. Andrew Spitzer has been promoted to managing director, Garin Arevian has been promoted to director, and Ryan Budlong, Tyler Dewing, Brent Spiller and Rahul Swani have each been promoted to vice president.

Spitzer, promoted to managing director, joined Harris Williams & Co. in 2004 and is co-head of the firm’s Energy & Power Group. Spitzer has advised clients on a variety of merger and acquisition and strategic advisory assignments, as well as corporate financings. Prior to joining Harris Williams & Co., Spitzer worked in the General Industrial Group at Banc of America Securities, LLC, and in the Investment Banking Group at Goldman Sachs & Co. Spitzer is located in the firm’s Richmond office.

Arevian, promoted to director, joined Harris Williams & Co. in 2007 and is a member of the firm’s Technology, Telecom & Digital Media (TTDM) Group. Arevian has over eight years of middle market investment banking experience focused on technology companies. Prior to joining Harris Williams & Co., Arevian was a Vice president in the Technology Group at Canaccord Adams, Inc. (formerly Adams Harkness). Arevian is located in the firm’s Boston office.

Budlong, promoted to vice president in the firm’s Minneapolis office, joined Harris Williams & Co. in 2007. Mr. Budlong joined the firm following the completion of an M.B.A. from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Budlong is located in the firm’s Minneapolis office.

Dewing, promoted to vice president, joined Harris Williams & Co. in 2006. Dewing joined the firm following the completion of an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Dewing is located in the firm’s Boston office.

Spiller, promoted to vice president, joined the firm in 2003 as an analyst in the firm’s Richmond office. Spiller is currently located in London helping execute transactions across both the U.S. and Europe.

Swani has been promoted to vice president and is a member of Harris Williams & Co.’s TTDM Group. Swani joined the firm following the completion of an M.B.A. from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Swani is located in the firm’s Boston office.
