Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), an international communications

high-frequency radios for use in the Army's Joint Biological Point
Detection System (JBPDS).
Harris will provide Falcon II
400-watt AN/PRC-150(C) HF systems to JBPDS, which is designed and
deployed to detect and identify biological warfare agents.
The AN/PRC-150(C) automatically communicates alerts to
headquarters over HF radio links when the system detects the
presence of biological agents.
"Harris is the market leader in
tactical, high-frequency radio communications. We have supported
the integration of our radio systems into many types of customer

business, Harris RF Communications. "In this instance, the
Army is taking advantage of the secure data transmission
capabilities of the AN/PRC-150 to give U.S. forces the maximum
amount of time to respond to potentially significant threats."
The AN/PRC-150(C) is an NSA Type-1 certified HF radio system.
Widely deployed, the AN/PRC-150(C) provides continuous
coverage in the 1.6 to 60 MHz frequency range, delivering secure
