CL Colgate Palmolive Co

Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC (RB.LN) is close to announcing an international deal, and "well-placed sources" say the most obvious candidate is Colgate-Palmolive Co. (CL), The Telegraph in London reported Wednesday. The paper says other companies mentioned as a target by Reckitt include SSL International (SSL.LN,) a consumer-goods company like Reckitt and Colgate-Palmolive. "The theory is that any deal between Reckitt and Colgate-Palmolive would have to be structured as a merger as they are roughly the same size," The Telegraph said.
