Wide Greater Than 720 MHz Bandwidth Exceeds 3rd Order Harmonic for Virtually Transparent Switching; MicroPak Package Reduces Footprint by 68% Compared to Closest Competitor Fairchild Semiconductor's (NYSE:FCS) FSUSB23 is the smallest single-port USB 2.0 "Hi-Speed" (480 Mbps) analog switch in a MicroPak(TM) chip scale package (CSP). Its compact packaging, combined with very low power consumption (less than 1micro amp) and wide bandwidth (greater than 720 MHz) operation, make it an ideal high-performance, space-saving USB 2.0 switch for today's multi-functional cell phones. Fairchild's 1.6 mm x 2.1 mm MicroPak 10-terminal chip scale package delivers a 68% footprint reduction compared to typical competitive switches (3.36 mm2 vs. 10.5 mm2). Additional applications for the FSUSB23 include PDAs, MP3 players, digital cameras and laptops. The FSUSB23's ability to switch Hi-Speed USB signals allows it to comfortably pass the eye diagram compliance for AC and DC performance to meet the USB 2.0 high-speed standard. It also retains complete USB 1.1 full-speed (12 Mbps) reverse compatibility for use in a range of applications.
