Emerson Announces Management Appointments

Emerson (NYSE: EMR) today announced five senior leadership
appointments to its Office of the Chief Executive who now report
directly to Chairman and CEO David N. Farr, and help develop and
guide the company’s global strategies.
“These appointments to the Office of the Chief Executive were
made to help drive our transformation to a more highly focused and
growth-oriented company. These individuals bring deep and diverse
experience that is essential to develop and execute on our
strategies to best position Emerson to win in today’s marketplace,
attract top talent, and create value for our customers and
shareholders,” said Farr.
The new appointments to the Office of the Chief Executive (OCE)
are:
Michael H. Train, whose title now becomes executive
president of Emerson Automation Solutions. He was appointed leader
of the newly formed Automation Solutions business in April 2016.
Train began his career at Emerson in 1991, and served most recently
as president of global sales for Emerson Process Management from
2010 to 2016.
Robert T. Sharp, whose title now becomes executive
president of Emerson Commercial & Residential Solutions. He was
appointed leader of the newly formed Commercial & Residential
Solutions business in February 2016. Sharp joined Emerson in 1996
and has served in a variety of corporate and business unit roles,
most recently as business leader of Emerson Climate
Technologies.
Sara Yang Bosco, who was promoted in May 2016 to senior
vice president, secretary and general counsel of the company. Bosco
is responsible for Emerson’s legal affairs globally. She joined
Emerson in 2005 as general counsel for Emerson in Asia Pacific
after several years serving as an outside legal counsel to the
company. Bosco most recently served as president of Emerson’s
Asia-Pacific organization from 2008 to 2016.
Mark J. Bulanda, vice president of acquisition planning
and development. Bulanda began his career at Emerson in 1985 and
has served in a variety of business leadership roles. He previously
managed Emerson’s Industrial Automation businesses until being
appointed to his current position in April 2016.
Katherine Button Bell, vice president and chief marketing
officer. Button Bell joined Emerson in 1999 and provides strategic
leadership for the company’s global marketing, corporate branding,
and digital customer experience initiatives. She also oversees
corporate communications, market research, and professional
development for the company’s marketing teams worldwide.
Other members of the OCE continuing in their leadership roles
are: Edward L. Monser, president; Ed Purvis, chief operating
officer; Frank Dellaquila, executive vice president and chief
financial officer; and Steve Pelch, senior vice president of
organization planning and development.
