High Plains Gas Announces Ticker Symbol Change to "HPGS"

High Plains Gas, Inc. (OTCBB: NXPN) ("HPG" or "the Company"), a
Gillette, Wyoming-based energy company actively engaged in the
acquisition, development and production of natural gas, primarily
in the Powder River Basin, today announced that the Company will
change its ticker symbol from (OTCBB: NXPN) to (OTCBB: HPGS). The
ticker symbol change will be effective with the start of trading
tomorrow, January 20, 2011.
Mark Hettinger, Chairman of High Plains Gas, commented, "We are
