BOARD CHANGES AT CLIPPER VENTURES

With effect from 7th January 2004, Richard Cooper, will resign as Managing
Director of Clipper Ventures Plc. Richard Cooper's responsibilities as Managing
Director will be merged with those of CEO William Ward.

Announcing the change, Clipper Ventures Chairman, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston said "
Clipper as a business has gone through a period of significant change under
Richard's four year stewardship and we are now on the threshold of a period of
sustained growth. Clipper have recently announced 3 three major city
sponsorships with a total value of #2.8 million, with more announcements
expected. Also the build of the ten Dubois 68's for the Clipper 2005 race is now
comfortably underway and our partnership with Fast Track as sponsorship agency
is working very well"

Sir Robin added "Richard has decided to seek other challenges and I am very
grateful for the contribution he has made to Clipper Ventures and wish him every
success in the future. His departure coincides with a change to my own personal
circumstances which means that I am able to devote significantly more time to
the business"

Richard Cooper said " I look back on my time with Clipper Ventures with
tremendous pride. Having seen the massive growth in profile of the 2002 race and
the move towards a truly internationally sponsored event for 2005, I am
confident that the business has a bright future. During my time at Clipper we
have also discontinued loss-making divisions & acquired the 5-Oceans race
(formerly Around Alone) for single-handed professional racers. I look forward to
watching Clipper go from strength to strength in the future".
