Sportsworld Media Group plc ("Sportsworld" or "the Company")

Sportsworld notes the recent movement in its share price and announces that it
is in discussions which may lead to the Company making an acquisition which
would be classified as a Class 1 transaction under the Listing Rules of the
London Stock Exchange.  It is anticipated that, if the acquisition proceeds,
it will be accompanied by a fundraising in order to part finance the
acquisition and to provide funding for future smaller acquisitions.

Shareholders will be kept informed of developments.
