Quester VCT 5 plc ("the Company")                       

The directors are pleased to announce that the Company has made an allotment of
24,817 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company at a price of 98.2p under the
2005/2006 offer for subscription announced on 23 December 2004.

It is expected that dealings will commence on Tuesday 19 April 2005.

The 2005/2006 offer closes on 30 June 2005.
