Period-end trading update 
 
 
Phoenix IT Group plc (the 'Group'), the UK IT services company, is providing 
a period-end update on trading for the six months ending 30 September 2009. 
The Board confirms that for the Group as a whole, trading and cash generation in 
the period continue to be in line with the Board's expectations.  Following on 
from the Group's first quarter Interim Management Statement, trading in the 
second quarter (the three months from July to September 2009) has improved over 
the first quarter of the financial year (the three months from April to June 
2009) and the Group has continued to generate cash and further pay down debt. 
Annualised contract values have stabilised in the second quarter, and the Board 
remains confident in the outlook for the year as a whole. 
The Group will announce its results for the six months ending 30 September 2009 
on 23 November 2009.
