PETERHEAD GROUP PLC (THE "COMPANY"): CANCELLATION OF LISTING ON THE LONDON
STOCK EXCHANGE

Further to the announcement released earlier today regarding the Company's
request to cancel its listing on the Irish Stock Exchange, the Company wishes
to announce that it has, in addition, requested that its listing on the London
Stock Exchange also be cancelled with effect from 30 October 1998.
