                 PETERHEAD GROUP PLC ("Peterhead")
                                 
The  Board  of Peterhead Group PLC announces today the resignation
of  Martyn Rose as non-executive director of the Group. It is with
regret  that  the  Board  accepts Mr Rose's  resignation,  but  it
understands that, as Chairman of eight other companies, he is  now
unable to devote sufficient time to Peterhead's activities.
