                Platinum Diversified Mining Inc. (the "Company")


             Approval of acquisition of Nord Resources Corporation.


Further to the announcement on 12 December 2006, regarding the proposed
acquisition of Nord Resources Corporation., the Company is pleased to announce
that the resolution to approve the proposed acquisition was passed at the
special meeting of Nord shareholders which took place today.  Completion of the
acquisition and readmission of the enlarged Company to trading on AIM is
expected to occur shortly following the completion of certain other conditions
associated with such readmission.  An announcement will be made confirming the
expected date of re-admission at the appropriate time.
