The Company was notified on 20th Oct 2006 that due to a purchase of 750,000
Ordinary Shares on 19th Oct 2006, North Atlantic Value LLP as discretionary
manager for its clients is currently interested in 8,908,554 Ordinary Shares of
10p each in Augean PLC, representing 11.65% of the issued share capital. This
includes a holding of 1,177,668 Ordinary Shares in which Oryx International
Growth Fund Limited is interested, and a holding of 2,342,943 ordinary shares by
North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC.


These holdings represent 13.6% of the issued share capital.
