The Company was notified on 30 May 2002 that Mr. Stephen Purse, a director of
the Company had purchased 18,402 Ordinary Shares of 25p each in the company
("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 67p on 30 May 2002 as a result of the Open
Offer. This purchase represents 0.01% of the current total issued ordinary share
capital.



Following this acquisition Mr. Purse has a beneficial interest in the Company's
issued ordinary share capital of 165,620 Ordinary Shares representing 0.09% of
the Company's total issued ordinary share capital.
