                      Board Changes
                            
The  Board  of KBC Advanced Technologies plc  ("KBC")  is
pleased to announce that Michael Press has been appointed
full-time  Deputy Chairman with effect from  8  December,
1997.   The  Board also announces that, due  to  personal
circumstances which arose post-flotation, Richard Davies,
Chairman, is not able to continue to provide his services
on  a full time basis and, as a result, he will retire at
the  Company's AGM in the Spring of 1998.  At this  time,
it  is  proposed  that Michael Press would  be  appointed
Chairman.

Michael  Press was appointed as a Non-executive  Director
of KBC in February, 1997, prior to the flotation.  He has
extensive  knowledge of the oil refining industry  having
held  senior executive positions with a number  of  major
integrated  oil  companies  including  The  Standard  Oil
Company  Inc.,  British Petroleum Plc and  Amerada  Hess.
His  understanding of the market will  be  an  invaluable
asset to the Company and the Board believes that he  will
play a major role in guiding the successful expansion  of
the business.

KBC  is a global business with an extensive international
blue-chip client base.  The flotation in March this  year
was  an  important milestone in the company's development
and  since  that time it has further extended its  client
base,  winning significant contracts in the Far East  and
Europe.   The  Group continues to perform  in  line  with
expectations  and  will announce its preliminary  results
for the year ended 31 December, 1997 in February 1998.
