KBC Advanced Technologies plc ("KBC") today announces the signing of a new
multi-site contract with PEMEX Refinacion PEMEX Refinacion is a subsidiary of
Petroleos Mexicanos ("PEMEX"), Mexico's national oil company and the largest
company in Mexico.

The US$6.3M contract covers five domestic refineries, and includes clean fuels
studies, refinery reconfiguration work, and the licensing of Petro-SIM(TM), KBC's
refinery-wide process simulation software, complete with multiple process unit
simulation models, for each location. The majority of the consulting work is
expected to be carried out by the end of 2006.
