Holding in Company

KBC Advanced Technologies plc ("KBC") announces that it was notified on February
28th, 2006, under Section 198 Companies Act 1985 ("The Act") that AXA Investment
Managers UK Limited is interested in 7,642,500 ordinary shares of 2.5p each in 
KBC, representing 14.16% of the issued share capital of the Company. These 
shares are represented by a beneficial interest of 95,000 (0.18%) shares and a 
non-beneficial interest of 7,547,500 (13.98%) shares.

The shares are registered in the names of:
Smith & Williamson Nominees Ltd               75,000 ordinary shares
BNY (OCS) Nominees Ltd                        20,000 ordinary shares
HSBC  Global Custody Nominee (UK) Ltd      7,140,350 ordinary shares
Others                                       407,150 ordinary shares

This notification of change is due to an increase in the total holding from 
13.70% to 14.16%.
