The  Company  was informed on 28 July 1997  that  Carlson
Leisure  Group  (UK)  Ltd  was interested  in  13,370,145
ordinary  shares  of  10p each by virtue  of  irrevocable
undertakings  given in relation to the  recommended  cash
offer  by DLJ Phoenix Securities Ltd on behalf of Carlson
Leisure  Group  (UK)  Ltd  for  the  Company  which   was
announced on 24 July 1997.
