                            NOTIFICATION OF RESULTS



Global Energy Development PLC ("Global" or the "Company"), the Latin America
focused petroleum exploration and production company (LSE-AIM: "GED"), announces
that Harken Energy Corporation ("Harken"), a Delaware corporation and the holder
of approximately 62% of the Company's issued ordinary shares, has filed with the
Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States, its Quarterly Report on
Form 10-Q for the quarter ended 30 June 2005.  Harken's Form 10-Q, filed on a
consolidated basis, includes certain financial information, on a United States
GAAP basis, with respect to the Company's operations.


Global anticipates announcing interim results for the six months ended 30 June
2005, on a U.K. GAAP basis, on Thursday, 1 September 2005.
