Update re shares in public hands
The Board of The Egypt Trust (the "Company") has continued to
consider all possible and appropriate options for redressing the
Company's current free float position. As part of an ongoing
dialogue with the Company's two largest shareholders, National Bank
of Egypt and Banque Misr, each of these investors has indicated to
the Board they wish to seek an exit for their respective
investments in the Company. The Board is therefore seeking to
formulate proposals, which may include a liquidation of the
Company, to be put to shareholders at the earliest opportunity. A
further announcement will be made in due course.
