DELTRON ELECTRONICS plc ("Deltron" or the "Company")

               MBO Discussions Terminated
                            
On the 23 April 1999, Deltron announced that Christopher
Sawyer, Chief Executive and Edward Tozer, Finance
Director (together the "Management Team") had indicated
that they wished to examine the possibility of making an
offer for the Company.  Discussions at that time were at
an early stage.

The Independent Directors of Deltron announce that the
Management Team are no longer pursuing a potential offer
for the Company.

The board continues to explore alternative means of
funding expansion of the Group and of providing enhanced
shareholder value.
