Chesterton International plc ("Chesterton") reports that on Tuesday 5 December
it was informed that Schroder Investment Management Limited had sold its
holding of 13,644,001 ordinary shares in Chesterton (representing 16.1% of
Chesterton's issued share capital).  Accordingly Schroder Investment
Management Limited no longer holds an interest in the Company notifiable under
Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985.

Chesterton was informed on Wednesday 6 December on behalf of Reliance Security
Group PLC ("Reliance") that Reliance had acquired 13.644.001 ordinary shares
in Chesterton and that the total number of shares in Chesterton now held by
Reliance and its connected persons is 14,099,001 (representing 16.7% of
Chesterton's issued share capital).
