CLOSE US INDEX GROWTH FUND 2007

ANNOUNCEMENT OF SHARE REDEMPTIONS

On 26 March 2007 24,500,000 US Shares of 0.0001 pence each ("Shares") in Close
Assets Fund Limited were redeemed.  Shareholders were repaid the maximum final
capital entitlement of 147.61 pence per Share, representing a return of 47.6 per
cent over five years or 8.1 per cent per annum.  This return represents a
significant outperformance of the S&P 500 Index plus dividends which, in local
currency terms, returned 30.7 per cent over the five years to 15 March 2007*.
Had the US dollar exposure not been hedged, the return of the S&P 500 Index plus
dividends for a sterling-denominated shareholder over that period would have
been -3.9 per cent*.
