                              New Orders Secured                               

Croma Group plc is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, R&D
Design Services Limited, has secured a number of significant orders taking its
confirmed order book to approximately �1.8 million. Among these is an order for
the development and manufacture of a life raft inflation control system to a
high profile European customer. The company continues to receive further orders
from major Government and Military customers on a worldwide basis.

R&D Design Services is also in the final stages of negotiations to secure a
significant contract with a leading manufacturer of military aircraft to
include the MIST system providing aircraft with the ability to see through
adverse weather conditions such as fog and sea mist. MIST is also in use by and
applicable to a wide range of applications involving fixed wing aircraft,
helicopters and surface vessels.

Croma Group, through its subsidiaries, provides an extensive range of products
and systems designed for use in areas of overt, covert surveillance and defence
related situations. Products include long range observation lenses, video
enhancement systems, computer surveillance systems, tactical lights and covert
protection systems.

End users include the military, police, customs & excise and government
agencies with applications in areas such as anti-terrorism, illegal immigration
and border security on an international scale. Among the client list are the
Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, Ministry of Defence and the German and Finland
Border Guards.

Commenting on these recent developments John French, Chairman and Chief
Executive of Croma Group plc said,
