          CMG plc acquires German IT Services company
                               
CMG plc, the European IT Services Group, announces that
yesterday it acquired 100% of CMS Data Consult GmbH ("CMS"), a
Mannheim, Germany based IT services company operating in the
Industry sector.  The total consideration is DM 9.25 million
(#3.3 million) to be paid in cash.

CMS, which has been established for over 10 years, provides
SAP consultancy and services to organisations in Germany with
special focus on the automotive sector and utilities.  The
company's turnover in the six months to 30 June 1998 was DM
4.2 million (#1.5 million) and its profit before tax was DM
0.54 million (#0.19 million).  The acquisition is expected to
make a positive contribution to CMG's 1999 earnings before
goodwill amortisation.  CMS's previous owners remain with the
company, as do all 25 employees.

Commenting on the acquisition, Bernd Lantermann, Country
Chairman for CMG Germany, said: "The acquisition extends CMG's
base of SAP business and strengthens one of our most important
strategic business lines in Germany.  CMG now has over 70 SAP
business and technical specialists in Germany."
