Cassell plc (the "Company") has been notified that Perpetual Unit  Trust
Management  has  purchased 100,000 ordinary shares  of  20p  each  which
represents  1.36 per cent. of the issued share capital of  the  Company.
This  increases Perpetual Unit Trust Management's holding in the Company
to 11.32 per cent.

The shares are registered in the name of Vidacos Nominees.
