                       APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY CHAIRMAN

Brammer,  the European industrial services group, today announces changes  to
its  board  structure.   With  immediate effect, Robert  Hough,  senior  non-
executive director, has been appointed deputy chairman of Brammer plc.

Mr  Hough  (age 53)  has  been a non-executive  director  of  Brammer  since
September  1993.  He is chairman of the audit committee and a member  of  the
remuneration and nominations committees.  He is also deputy chairman of  Peel
Holdings p.l.c.,  chairman of the Manchester Ship Canal Company and a  member
of the board of the Manchester Federal School of Business and Management.
