FLEET, England, March 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Expanded offering includes Wi-Fi
offload, VoLTE and other IMS based services and
applications
Anite, a leading supplier of test and measurement solutions to
the international wireless market, announced today that it will be
expanding its device application testing capability by entering
into an agreement to acquire the trade and assets of Setcom
Wireless Products GmbH ("Setcom"), a supplier of wireless device
application test solutions, based in Munich, Germany. The transaction is expected
to complete by 1 April 2015 and will
be integrated into Anite's Device & Infrastructure Testing
business unit.
Setcom's flagship solution S-CORE will further expand Anite's
device application testing portfolio into Wi-Fi offload, IMS and
RCS based services. The solution includes an application test
suite, a rich and fully-featured user interface, a multi-RAT test
platform and a wide portfolio of test case packages, enabling rapid
operator acceptance and device certification. Similar to Anite's
test solutions, S-CORE is designed to improve performance and
interoperability of wireless devices, whilst reducing
time-to-market and development costs.
Setcom's long-established customer base, which includes mobile
network operators, device manufacturers, operating system vendors
and test houses, will benefit from Anite's substantial global sales
and support operations.
Mike Bonin, Managing Director of
Anite's Device and Infrastructure Testing business unit commented:
"This acquisition immediately expands our solutions portfolio for
important device application testing demanded by our customers and
will strengthen our technology leadership within signalling,
performance and application test." Mike continued, "We are excited
to welcome a very talented team of Setcom employees who have a
proven history of delivering cutting-edge wireless device testing
solutions to the marketplace."
