ICOA to Provide Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport (AZO)
With Airport-Wide Wi-Fi Network WARWICK, R.I., May 12

and managed services in high-traffic public locations, announced
today that it has signed an agreement with the county of Kalamazoo
in Michigan to provide public and private Wi-Fi solutions
throughout the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport
facility. The airport serves more than 500,000 passengers annually.
With the addition of AZO, ICOA will be operational in 11 airports
serving over 26 million airline passengers annually. ICOA will
provide design, deployment, management, maintenance, ongoing
customer care and the full suite of its back-office solutions,
including authentication and reporting. The new high-speed
broadband wireless Internet network will offer passengers secure,
convenient wireless Internet access from anywhere in the terminal.
It will also provide secure WLAN services for airport
administration and operations functions, airlines and airport
concessionaires. The public service does not require users to
install or use proprietary software. The neutral-host network will
allow subscribers of branded Wi-Fi services, such as iPass and
Boingo, network access. Passengers with Wi-Fi-enabled laptops or
PDAs will be able to connect to the Internet to check their e-mail,
access their corporate servers, download documents and surf the web
with unlimited access from anywhere in the airport. Airport
information, such as flight schedules, ground transportation
information, passenger services and security bulletins can also be
