Tree Top Industries' Subsidiary, BioEnergy Applied Technologies, Working to Eliminate Hazardous Waste
April 08 2010 - 8:45AM
Tree Top Industries, Inc. (OTCBB:TTII) discusses focus for 2010 of
subsidiary BioEnergy Applied Technologies, Inc. ("BAT").
Kathy Griffin, President of Tree Top Industries, stated, "We are
working on helping to safely eliminate a portion of the over 600
million pounds of hazardous waste that is produced in the U.S.
annually by pharmaceutical manufacturers. This material, a
by-product of the drug manufacturing process occurs worldwide,
wherever pharmaceuticals are being produced. These chemicals:
Pose a serious threat to the environment
Must be stored and destroyed at a significant expense to the
producer
Often end up in our water systems due to improper storage
Create long term liability issues for producers."
BAT is the originator of various proprietary, clean-tech,
environmentally-friendly technologies and intellectual properties
in the areas of hazardous waste destruction. These
intellectual properties have been applied to the construction of
systems and equipment designed to facilitate the destruction of
pharmaceutical, medical, biological, chemical, red bag and other
hazardous wastes, with clean reusable energy produced as a
by-product. The system utilizes cold plasma technology to
initiate a chemical reaction inside the unit. The chemical
reaction causes enough heat to facilitate the waste destruction,
resulting in a drastically reduced carbon footprint, as no
incineration is needed.
