Castle Peak Mining Ltd. ('Castle Peak' or the 'Company') (TSX VENTURE:CAP) is
pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Darryl Cardey to the Company's Board
of Directors, effective June 1, 2011. Mr. Cardey is a partner with CDM Capital
Partners, a private company focused on venture capital financing and
investments. He holds a Chartered Accountant's degree from the Institute of
Chartered Accountants in British Columbia and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from
the University of British Columbia. Mr. Cardey has been involved in the mining
industry for several years and is co-founder of a number of successful ventures,
including Underworld Resources (bought by Kinross May 2010), Crazy Horse
Resources (where he is also Chief Financial Officer), and Minaurum Gold. 


President and CEO Darren Lindsay said, "I believe Darryl's strong financial
background and relevant experience with exploration and development projects
will bring a firm balance to our Board of Directors. We look forward to working
together as we push forward with our aggressive exploration program at the
Akorade project in Ghana."
