As part of its drive to offer its customers the best possible
experience, Sun Media Corporation today unveiled its new strategy
for real estate websites. It is launching ViaProprio.ca, a new site
for property owners who want to sell their property themselves, and
is also adjusting the positioning of its Micasa.ca site, one of the
busiest real estate sites in Quebec with more than 150,000 unique
visitors per month. ViaProprio.ca will extend Micasa.ca's services
to individuals.
Sun Media Corporation has been offering a broad spectrum of real
estate services for years through its various print and online
products. Henceforth, the Micasa.ca site will focus on serving real
estate professionals: developers, builders, real estate brokers and
property managers. The new ViaProprio.ca site will serve property
owners who want to sell their properties themselves with advice
from a team of real estate professionals. Support will be available
at every major stage of the process, including preliminary
preparations, evaluation, sales coaching, legal services and
listing the property. ViaProprio.ca, to be launched on September 5,
2012, will create 15 direct jobs and also help drive the business
development of its partner Quebec companies.
"Our ongoing commitment to delivering the best experience on the
market has prompted us to review our real estate services," said
Julie Tremblay, Chief Operating Officer, Sun Media Corporation.
"From now on, Micasa.ca will specialize in services for real estate
professionals, offering brokers, developers, builders and property
managers top-tier tools to help them publicize their services.
ViaProprio.ca will be reserved for direct sales by owners, a market
in which there are few services in Quebec and growing demand. We
are very attentive to our customers' needs and to changes in the
real estate market, which is why we are adopting this new strategy.
We are confident that the creation of ViaProprio.ca will meet the
needs and expectations of owners who want to sell their property
themselves."
The more often a property listing is viewed, the better its
chances of selling. For this simple and obvious reason,
ViaProprio.ca will make a wide selection of services and
specialized tools available to its customers, as well as an
exceptional and unique multiplatform visibility plan that leverages
the power of Quebecor Media's family of subsidiaries. Sellers who
use ViaProprio.ca will also be offered numerous premiums and
value-added services from partners.
Micasa.ca and ViaProprio.ca form a winning combination that will
finally give prospective buyers access to the full range of
properties for sale: the listings posted by real estate
professionals on Micasa.ca and the individual listings on
ViaProprio.ca.
