America Inc., a subsidiary of New Flyer Industries Inc. ("New
Flyer" or the "Company"), the largest heavy-duty transit bus and
motor coach manufacturer and parts distributor in North America, announced today that the
Regional Transportation Commission of Las
Vegas ("RTC") in Southern
Nevada will exercise options for the purchase of 55
40-foot and 60-foot compressed natural gas ("CNG")
Xcelsior® buses.
RTC is both the transit authority and the
transportation-planning agency for Southern Nevada and specifically Las
Vegas. Its mandate includes identification of transportation
challenges and implementation of short and long-term resolutions,
while simultaneously promoting sustainability, air quality
improvement, enhanced mobility and increased quality of life in the
region.
RTC will exercise options for 30 Xcelsior CNG
40-foot buses and 25 (50 EU) 60-foot CNG Xcelsior buses (or 80
equivalent units or "EUs"), from a contract announced in
March 2015.
