Company to Develop Centralized Information System to Integrate Nationwide Gang Data FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International, Inc. (NYSE:SRX), a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to federal government organizations, has been awarded a competitive contract by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to develop a database support system to help the National Gang Intelligence Center (NGIC) provide gang intelligence to law enforcement agencies at the federal, state, and local levels. Awarded in September, the contract has an estimated value of $16 million over five years if all options are exercised. Established in 2005, NGIC collects, analyzes, and shares data about the criminal activities of gangs across the country. The new system developed by SRA will modernize and integrate NGIC's disparate systems while providing enhanced connectivity, knowledge management and discovery, and information sharing of gang-related intelligence with law enforcement agencies.
