Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's largest technology
distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain and logistics
solutions, today announced its Buffalo, N.Y. campus was named one
of the "Best Places to Work" by Buffalo Business First, a leading
business newspaper serving the region. The prestigious honor was
presented to Ingram Micro during the newspaper's ninth annual Best
Places to Work 2013 luncheon earlier this week.
The 2013 winners were selected by Quantum Workplace of Kansas
using an employee engagement survey that measures how a company
rates as a great place to work across multiple categories including
job satisfaction, corporate culture and professional development.
More than seventy-five percent of Ingram Micro's Buffalo-based
associates participated in the voluntary survey.
Established in 1982, Ingram Micro's Buffalo campus is considered
the informal headquarters for the distributor's U.S. sales force
and customer support teams. In 2012, the Ingram Micro Buffalo
campus engaged with thousands of technology vendors and resellers
to help them grow their business, and invested more than 22,000
hours in training to develop and advance associate skills and
abilities. Additionally Ingram Micro's Buffalo-based associates
raised more than $350,000 in 2012 for organizations such as Kids
Escaping Drugs, Ronald McDonald House and Roswell Park Cancer
Institute.
"This is a rewarding win and honor that belongs to all of our
team members here in Buffalo, as well as to all Ingram Micro
associates around the world," says Susan O'Sullivan, executive
director of Ingram Micro's Commercial VAR business and champion for
the Buffalo campus. "The Ingram Micro corporate culture --
especially here in Buffalo -- is filled with a contagious energy
and relentless drive for achieving excellence and getting business
done. We're thrilled to be recognized by our associates and Buffalo
Business First with this prestigious honor."
The "Best Places to Work" honorees will be showcased in Business
First on March 8. Past winners include Western Division Federal
Credit Union, The Hamister Group, Summit Educational Resources,
