SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Demonstrating an unquestionable differentiation and value in partner communities, Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM) is pleased to announce more than 670 IT channel partners and industry influencers will convene at the company's premier North American VentureTech Network (VTN) community's Fall 2010 VTN Invitational.

Taking place in San Francisco Oct. 3 – 5, this year's VTN Invitational theme is "We're All In," emphasizing the ongoing commitment made by the community IT solution provider members, vendor partners and Ingram Micro to work together to grow business faster than any one company could do on its own.

John Fago, Ingram Micro's senior director of channel marketing for North America sums it up, "With the IT industry's top North America-based solution providers, managed service providers (MSPs) and IT channel chiefs from industry leaders Cisco, HP and IBM all at one venue, the 2010 Fall VTN Invitational is definitely the place to be seen and heard."

This year's keynote speakers include Patrick Lencioni, author of the best-seller The Five Dysfunctions of a Team and Larry Winget, the world-renowned "Pitbull of Personal Development."  Gartner's Tiffani Bova and IT luminaries including Cisco's James Sherriff, HP's Stephen DeWitt, IBM's Harris Warsaw and Microsoft's Cindy Bates will also be in attendance to share industry insights and business growth opportunities with the VTN community from the main stage.

"The VTN community is thriving as our members continue to lead by every measure and generate demand for new technologies, solutions and services including cloud computing, data center and IT-as-a-Service," says Fago. "The enthusiasm around our new VTN Connect Technical Certifications and Mastermind programs is contagious. We've got a fantastic event lined up and the best is yet to come."

The Ingram Micro VTN community is represented by 386 members throughout North America and boasts an estimated buying power of more than $1 billion.  In the U.S. and Canada, Ingram Micro VTN members are recognized among the IT industry's best, brightest and most successful solution providers and MSPs.

"VTN has been a growth catalyst for The RetroTechs, presenting us with the opportunity, resources, support, partnerships and business insight we required to take our company where it needs to go," says Jon Nitto, president, RetroTechs. "The VTN community has become an extension of our business and a lifeline we rely on to provide exceptional service and support to our customers nationwide."

VTN to Announce New Community Presidents

During the Invitational's annual Spotlight Awards Dinner, Ingram Micro will announce the new 2010 VTN council presidents for U.S. and Canada.  The new presidents will take over the roles currently held by Greg Starr of I.T. Works and JoeAnne Hardy of WBM Office Systems.

"JoeAnne and Greg have brought a tremendous amount of energy and thought leadership to the VTN community over the last two years," says Fago. "We've got a great council and two phenomenal leaders coming in to take the reins and continue VTN's legacy as the IT channel's premier partner community."
