(NYSE: GR) is a proud sponsor of the efforts underway for the final
"arrival" of US Airways Flight 1549 to the Carolinas Aviation
Museum. Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger safely landed
the aircraft in the Hudson River on January
17, 2009 after reporting a double bird strike. All
occupants, including 150 passengers, three flight attendants and
two pilots, survived the event. The historic "Miracle on the
Hudson" aircraft began its four day journey from Harrison, New Jersey to the Carolinas Aviation
Museum in Charlotte, North
Carolina this past Saturday. The museum will host a
reception to commemorate the arrival for sponsors and others
involved in bringing the aircraft to Charlotte with Captain Sullenberger as speaker
on June 11.
