A Share Update to Algonquin Power &
Utilities Corp.
TORONTO, Feb. 3, 2017 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones
Indices Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in
the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:
Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (TSX:AQN) has completed
the acquisition of The Empire District Electric Company (NYSE:EDE).
To reflect the issuance of common shares as part of the
transaction, the Relative Weight of Algonquin will increase in the
S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, the S&P/TSX
Completion, the S&P/TSX Capped Utilities, the S&P/TSX
Composite Dividend, the S&P/TSX Composite High Dividend and the
S&P/TSX Renewable Energy & Clean Technology Indices after
the close of trading on Friday, February 10,
2017. There will be no change to the relative weight of
Algonquin in the S&P/TSX Composite Equal Weight, the
S&P/TSX Canadian Dividend Aristocrats or the S&P/TSX
Composite Low Volatility Indices.
