13:50 ET -- Moderna Inc. is one of the most talked about companies in the U.S. across all news items in the last 12 hours, according to Factiva data. The pharmaceutical company said Monday that its updated Covid-19 booster worked against Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5 better than its previous vaccine. Chief Executive Stephane Bancel said that the boosters show neutralizing activity against this increasingly dominant emerging variant, "confirming that updated vaccines have the potential to offer protection as the virus continues to evolve rapidly to escape our immunity."
