INX Inc., (NASDAQ:INXI - News; the “Company”; or “INX”) announced today that it has successfully completed a comprehensive data center virtualization project for Educational Service Center Region 19.

INX provided consulting services for the design and implementation of battery power, generator power, redundant data center cooling and fire suppression systems as part of a $1 million contract award from the State of Texas Department of Information Resources and The Cooperative Purchasing Network.

Through extensive planning and execution phases, INX integrated advanced IP technologies with leading manufactures such as Cisco, NetApp, VMware, Tandberg and Microsoft. The one-year project helped Region 19 achieve its goal of offering advanced services to school districts and Region 19 now has a layered foundation of data center environmental protection and a virtual server and desktop infrastructure. These technologies are the groundwork to serve the school districts in 2011. The Educational Service Center Region 19 (ESC Region 19) project began in January of 2010 and will be completed during December 2010.

Aiding K-12 teachers and administrators in their role as educators, ESC Region 19 is located in far West Texas in the town of El Paso. As one of 20 service centers in the State of Texas, it supports surrounding school districts through the delivery of professional development in technology, bilingual and special education, gifted and talented education, and programs for at-risk students. ESC Region 19 serves as a link between the districts, the charter schools it serves and the administrative unit of the Texas public education system, the Texas Education Agency in Austin. As an innovative provider of technological training and services, ESC Region 19 established new objectives in 2009 to construct a data center for hosting data and offering services through the use of advanced technologies and cloud computing offerings. The organization will “step-up” and take on a leadership role in technology by offering backup, recovery and cloud based applications to K-12 education.

Jacque Davidson, ESC Region 19 Director of Technology and Media Services said, “When engaging with INX and their Strategic Delivery Framework methodology, our projects have an emphasis on detailed planning and guaranteed results.” Louie Mora, ESC Region 19 Network Administrator, is impressed with the tools he now uses for data management and the VMware virtual server environment. Louie said, “If and when things get tough, I know I have INX’s Managed Services team ready and available 24/7 to support my virtual infrastructure environment. Jointly, Jacque and I have confidence when working with INX knowing our technology will be executed in a professional manner, on time and without unexpected costs. It’s the first company I’ve seen using such a process. It works!”

Mark Hilz, President and CEO of INX stated, “This is exactly the reason we implemented and utilize the Strategic Delivery Framework engagement model. We are able to provide better business value with less risk to the client. Projects get the true planning phase needed and everyone wins.”

Today, more and more schools are being provided the capability to backup their data from Microsoft servers over WAN links using a flexible application called NetApp Open Systems Snap Vault. Once the backups occur, Region 19 will then replicate the data to another location and have the ability to restore it from either site. In continued partnership with INX, ESC Region 19 plans to expand the data center by offering more IP based solutions, such as software as a service, to local school districts. By providing these services, ESC Region 19 will make these advanced technologies more affordable to local districts with experienced technical staff in place to manage the applications.
