American Science and Engineering, Inc. Receives IDIQ Contract From U.S. Customs and Border Protection for Medium Energy Mobil...

American Science and Engineering, Inc. (“AS&E”) (NASDAQ:ASEI),
a leading worldwide supplier of innovative X-ray detection
solutions, today announced that it has been awarded an Indefinite
Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from U.S. Customs and
Border Protection (CBP). AS&E is one of four vendors that
received the award and an initial delivery order under the IDIQ
contract for one mobile scanner. The AS&E Medium Energy Mobile
Scanner will leverage the Company’s innovative detection technology
on a new mobile platform and will be used by CBP to perform
non-intrusive inspection of incoming conveyances at U.S. Ports of
Entry beginning in 2016.
